8 UP policemen killed in firing by criminals during raid




SRINAGAR : The Police team had gone to raid an area in search of history-sheeter Vikas Dubey. The team had gone for raid in Kanpur Dehat's Shivli Police Station area's Bikru village. Dubey is accused of killing Santosh Shukla in 2001 inside the Shivli Police Station. Shukla was a minister in BJP's Rajnath Singh government at the time.

Senior Superintendent of Police and Inspector General are present at the spot. Forensics teams are examining the area.

According to Monitering Desk, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has spoken to Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Director-General of Police and has sought a report in the matter. The CM has also ordered for strict action against the accused.
