Health Department suspends Lab Technician for violating Covid-19 potocol

Budgam, June 4, KNT: Department of Health has suspended a Lab Technician for making home sampling of a Covid-19 suspect in Chadoora Block here in Budgam district.
There was row after a Tea-Stall owner in Durbugh village of Chadoora town of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district had claimed that without taking his samples, he was declared positive and put under isolation ward at JVC SKIMS Bemina.

His claim was refuted by Lab Technician Nisar Ahmed Ganaie, who claimed that samples of suspected person were taken at his home.
Chief Medical Officer Budgam, Dr Tajamul Hussain Khan in his order stated that there is no protocol for home sampling.

“It has come to my notice that you have made home sampling of one suspected at home which is totally against  the norms of Covid-19 protocol and as such you are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect, You are hereby attached in my office till further orders,” the letter issued by CMO Budgam reads.
Meanwhile, the tea-stall owner again told news agency KNT that he is not a Covid-19 patient as his samples were not taken. He appealed authorities to take his samples again.
CMO Budgam, Dr Tajamul Hussain said that samples at home have been taken and the test was found positive for Covid-19. (KNT)
