Ishfaq Jabbar urged people to remain indoors, advises social distancing on his fathers 30th death anniversary.

Ganderbal 17 April: National Conference Senior  Leader & Former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar  on Friday pay floral tributes to his father, Late Sheikh  Abdul Jabbar (Minister, MLA & MLC).

In a statement issued here, Sheik Ishfaq while paying tributes to his father, said that we are committed to nurture his legacy of secular thinking and inclusive approach for one and all. ” We  will continue to follow the path laid down by Late Sheikh Abdul Jabbar which is to protect the identity and dignity of J&K and its people against forces hell bent to divide us on the basis of religion, region and language,” he said.

He said that the late leader was very much well wisher of the people of the area and particularly he was total committed for the development of the poor, downtrodden and destitutes etc.

The whole country is observing a lockdown and any carelessness on our part  can increase the problem for our family, our society and the nation.

At this difficult time I request to everyone to respect the guidelines to not gather either at my residence or the graveyard. Your prayers from your homes will give peace to his fathers soul.

He also asked people to take  care of poor and destitute, pray for also those whose loved ones got devoured in the COVID-19 crises and pray for  early recovery for all those who have tested positive for the contamination, he added.

Late Sheikh Abdul Jabbar was  Former Minister,MLA,MLC, and freedom fighter who was assassinated on 18th of April 1990, at his native place Lar Ganderbal Kashmir only for that he was leader of masses worked for betterment,welfare,unity & integrity of J&K particularly Ganderbal district with the rest of country and remained behind the bars for 14 and a half years with Shere-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah.
